This seminar will address the various types of surveys that can be obtained and the pros and cons of each. Topics include ALTA ACSM criteria, including Table A options, as well as surveyor certifications and limitations. The speakers will discuss title and other issues that can be identified by surveys, such as closure, record versus calculated metes and bounds. In addition, the speakers will discuss possible means to resolve such issues, the limitations on accuracy, and how to address them. Other topics include encroachment issues, Land Court and regular system subdivision maps and processes, kuleana issues, and shoreline certifications.
